It’s August 28th and only 2 days until the Labor Day weekend and you go out to prepare your 26 year-old Coleman tent trailer for the trip. You’ve been planning for weeks and the family is looking forward to the get away. As you are cranking up the roof, you hear a horrible sound, one of the cables has snapped. Your heart sinks as you see one of the corners of the roof collapse due to the lack of support. Frantically, you search the internet for a repair shop. You call several local businesses, explain your issue and they all refer you to dealers in San Jose because they don’t repair ‘older pop-up trailers.’ One business though, (Powers RV) recommended I contact Gleason’s RV. When I called and spoke to Otis, I explained my problem and the time constraint that I was under. I needed to have my pop-up fixed right away or my 2 boys would be extremely disappointed. Otis didn’t make any promises and asked me to bring it in. After arriving, Otis gave me a fair estimate and said that he would do his best. Move forward 24 hours and I received a call from Otis saying that my trailer was repaired – and ready for pick-up. I pride myself on shopping local, buying local and keeping my money local. If you need to have any repairs done to an RV, I highly recommend that you give Gleason’s Salinas RV your business.

I needed to replace a quick release pin on a BrakeMaster system on my toad. I found what I needed in short order, at a reasonable cost and technical advice to boot. Very good experience.

I live in Vancouver Canada and was touring the coast of California in our truck/camper. Low trees broke the cover over the refrigerator located on the roof of the camper. Drove from Monterey to Salinas. Stopped in at the Chamber of Commerce for help in locating an RV repair shop. Went to Gleason’s and received immediate help. The staff were friendly, efficient, and immediately helped us. They had the correct replacement part, installed it immediately and we were on our way.

I had my tow bar assembly break leaving half the unit jamed in receiver on my RV., leaving me unable to tow our car, and along ways from home. I called Gleason’s after finding them on line and telling them my problem. I asked if they could help me first thing, and was told to bring it right over. I cannot say enough good things about shop and Mr. Gleason, he was knowledgeable, fixed my problem, corrected another issue, and in the situation I was in could have taken advantage of it, but instead did a great job, was more then fair with the price. I fell very lucky to have found them.

My family met the owner of this RV shop when we broke down. He didn’t take advantage of the situation, in fact it wasn’t until we came by the next day to thank him did we find out he owned the place. He later fixed a complicated issue with our electrical system that had eluded other shops. We always receive back our RV in record time and once, the twenty dollars that he found down in a corner was neatly placed on the table with a note. Can I say more? He’ll have our business forever!!!

We’ve been customers of Gleason’s for years. They’re a family business and, in my opinion, the best RV service & repair shop on the Central Coast. Recently I managed to severely damage the roof my our trailer. Otis (the owner) helped with the insurance claim, started the repairs immediately, even found a previously-damaged area and fixed it, and had the trailer ready to go in less than a week. Extremely knowledgable (among other things, Otis builds race cars), very helpful, and friendly. Prices are reasonable and fair.
